This small person is Matilda's best friend Emily.

We love her dearly.

And personally, one of my favourite things about Em is her mother, my friend Lucy. (Don't you love it when your kids pick friends with excellent and funny parents? Go Tilds!)

Anyway, Luce and Em recently won tickets to the Wiggles in a raffle – and took us!!

Acer Arena was going off like a frog in a sock. I think this moment below (photo by Lucy) was possibly the moment the Wiggles appeared on stage?

I think Tilly (that's her and Em in the mosh pit right in front of the stage) thought Anthony was doing the show just for her. Which of course, he was.

Ah, bright lights, big city.

These are some of the things we'll miss.

Because we are MOVING! Yep, we decided it's time to take these inner west city kids to the country, before they get big enough to refuse to come.

We've got two weeks left in Sydney and then we're packing up and moving to a little patch of green on the south coast. It's got fruit trees and a chicken run and the most diabolical orange tiled kitchen bench you have ever seen. But it was a miracle to find such a place for rent in such a place, so we jumped on it. I'll cover the bench with flour. That's my plan.

And we figured, if we moved somewhere with a bit of space, with a few green hills, our dearest friends will make the drive down to visit us!

All very exciting. A great fun New Year plan.

Goodness, what excitement! I love love love all your posts of your family home, so I have no questions about why you are moving to such an amazing place. Happy New Year in the country to you! But tell me, what will Adam be doing? Commuting?

Now wouldn’t you think a great big exciting piece of news like that would deserve a post all to itself! Being that my kids are past Wiggles age, I almost didn’t read to the end. I’m so looking forward to hearing what rural life looks like to a green foodie looking at it with fresh eyes.

ugh I remember my first (and only) Wiggles concert. The little guy ( now 12) was so awestruck he spent the entire show clinging to my leg, arm, hand or waist and just staring at the stage (Balmain Tigers) in wonder.

Wow – what exciting news! Looking forward to lots of pictures and details! Is it close enough to the city for Ad to commute or will he stay in the city during the week? Send me an email with the address as I still need to send these presents! Sorry for not sending pre-Christmas xxx

Yay, new adventures! Cant wait to hear all about it. We’re still on the market, but nothing’s moving much. Not sure we’re doing the right thing anyway. I’m green over your fruit trees and chicken run. Just was given a food dehydrator for Christmas, and can’t even take it home for lack of space.

Happy 2011, my dear.

Awesome. I think you’re brave and brilliant. We’re contemplating an international move so the scary bits are front-of-house right now and I know it isn;t a light decision no matter how good the prospects. Good on you.

So exciting to hear that you’re moving! Space, green hills,.. all sounds wonderful. Looking forward to hearing more πŸ™‚
