is it just me or is this just a bit freaky?

This doll is called William and belongs to my Mother in law.

It was used as a demonstration doll in the classes she taught in early childhood, and called William because she bought him when William Wales a.k.a Prince William was christened.

I tell you, we amused ourselves endlessly leaving William in places Ivy might be, or upside down on the couch to freak out the next adult in the room.

I've never claimed to be sensible.

And sometimes all we want is a little diversion.

Here's hoping at least one thing amused you today.

Sometimes that's all we ask. Anyone got a good joke?

Funny! I had one just like that called Baby Jess. My parents bought her for me when my brother was born (a few weeks before Prince William) and apparently they looked so much alike in the hospital crib that one of the midwives actually thought they were twins for a moment! I wonder where that doll is now…I can’t imagine anyone daring to throw it out. xk

p.s. Ivy is so cute and I LOVE her name.

We have a double mountain buggy which we take on longer walks in case my three year old goes on strike a long way from home. What often happens is “baby” gets put in there instead along with my 10 month old on the other side. Old ladies see small child walking, mum with double pram with big baby and tiny baby inside thinking they are all mine and that my husband and I have been rather busy over the last three years. Absolutely hilarious when they realise one is plastic and half jump out of their skin. Also my ten month old LOVES playing with baby, particularly flicking her eyes open and closed with the eyelashes!
