This doll is called William and belongs to my Mother in law.

It was used as a demonstration doll in the classes she taught in early childhood, and called William because she bought him when William Wales a.k.a Prince William was christened. 

I tell you, we amused ourselves endlessly leaving William in places Ivy might be, or upside down on the couch to freak out the next adult in the room. 

I've never claimed to be sensible. 

And sometimes all we want is a little diversion.
