Thanks for the comments yesterday – I appreciate this series isn't quite right for northern hemisphere readers who are rugging up and looking out the window at winter!

I loved your 'what summer means' comments, and those 'what winter means' too!!

haha, yes it is strange reading your blog posts about summer when im in bed with a fever listening to the rain! strange, but nicely comforting and warming.
summer means pimms & lemonade, gardening barefoot and lots of freshly picked salad from the plot.
winter means pumkin soups, knitting under the blankets, and getting soaked in the rain.
and don’t make me pick a favourite!

summer to me means the jacaranda trees dying off, the first truly magnificent summer storms, and those gorgoeus lost days at the beach where you only MEANT to go for the morning, but somehow, it’s fish and chips for supper time and you’re still there, slightly sunburnt, full of sand and icecream and longing for a cold glass of Something to make the day just perfect.

P.S Dear Bronte Beach, please install a pub at the beach or at least a bottle shop for emergency alcoholic needs- thanks, local council!

alternatively, there is always te trip to the local pool and a stop at the local pub on the way home for necesary cold glass of Something and some wedges- not wuite the same thing, but rather close sometimes! xx
and gosh, the wee one is getting more gorgeous every day!
