Salad days

My blog will make me FAT unless I have a week off the Brownie-testing and a week ON THE SALADS. You lot are a TERRIBLE influence.

So we started last night with a yummy lettuce, cucumber, tomato, thin sliced beef and avocado salad dressed with lime, olive oil and balsamic.

Tonight, pictured above: warm roast pumpkin and parsnips, fresh corn, chorizo, haloumi, green beans and broccoli.

Hope you're all accordingly eating carrot sticks. We have to stick to slim down mode in preparation for the Dulce De Leche. Are you with me?!

Oh my goodness, that chorizo salad looks like my idea of heaven. Seriously! I’m hopping on a plane right now.

Mmmmmm, we’re having this tonight, only no chorizo for me- veggie day. (Dave might have some, but might not bother as I’m not serving it for him. Henry’s had egg and toast, but will probably sit up with us and have a taste- trying out the new booster seat at the table tonight. Can’t wait to get the bulky high chair out of the crowded kitchen!)
Also, tinned corn. Also, a bag of mixed leaves instead of the broc and beans. Also, sweet potato and carrots instead of the pumpkin.
Okay, not quite the same, but very much inspired by yours, Fi.
Oh, man, it smells so good! I’m hopeless at waiting for Dave to get home for dinner- do you think he’d notice if there was a little less halloumi?
Also, no dressing? I hardly ever bother with salad dressings, but have a hankering for a little balsamic/olive oil/honey goodness. Too much? I’ll put it in a jug.
Love you!
