We swung down there with a picnic and a carefree day and FAR OUT those scarecrows were SCARY!!

Pretty much without exception, every single one was frightening. The kids were rating scarecrow scare-factors and demanding I take "frightened" photos of their favourites.

We nibbled popcorn and navigated the crowds and said hello to our friends selling gelato and then meandered down to Mollymook for a picnic.

It was a lovely. No one ran away or got lost, there were public loos handy when small people suddenly needed them and Ad found excellent coffee at a place called Flour Water Salt.

Ivy spent the next 24 hours pretending to be a scarecrow.

And now it's Sunday night and we have a day off tomorrow. Thank you Queenie for having a birthday and if we can't be a sensible republic at least we can skive off for a Monday holiday. Tally ho!
